Trying to pay for the "VIP" 12euro per month and got this error on paypal site:

I know, the message doesn't say it, but have you checked the spelling of your email? Maybe, just maybe, this is the cause, even if the message doesn't say it exactly.
Things like that are often the reasons, why something doesn't work correctly. Most likely restart your computer or the appllication will help solve the problem. Although, restarting your computer will not help here
